How do I cancel my ScriptCue subscription?
Open the customer portal and sign in using the email address you used at checkout. Select your ScriptCue subscription, then choose Cancel.
You will not be charged again. Your licence remains active until the end of your current paid billing period.

Don't buy a second plan. Open the customer portal and sign in using the email address you used at checkout. Click the ··· button next to your plan, choose Update, pick your plan under Variant and click Save.
The change takes effect straight away and the price is adjusted for the time left on your current plan. Your licence key stays the same, so there is nothing to reactivate.

Add it from the Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, then click the ScriptCue button in the browser toolbar on whichever page you want the prompter on. It asks for no site permissions when you install it.
The same subscription and the same sign-in (purchase email plus six-digit code) work in both.

Open Scripts & floating window from the extension, enter the email address used at checkout, then enter the six-digit code sent to that inbox.
One subscription unlocks unlimited scripts, DOCX/PDF imports, rich formatting, the timer, and caption sync beta on Microsoft Teams web. The code expires after 10 minutes and is used only once.
What is free in the browser extension, and what needs a subscription?
Free: the prompter overlay on any normal website, up to three saved scripts, the editor, the reading guide, TXT, Markdown and HTML import, and the floating window.
With a subscription: unlimited saved scripts, DOCX and PDF import, rich formatting and the timer. One subscription covers the extension and the Windows desktop app.
Subscribers can also switch on the Teams web caption-sync beta. It is still being tested, so it is not part of what the subscription buys and it may be withdrawn — see the next question.
How does caption sync work, and where does it work?
It is a beta we are still testing. It is not part of what a subscription buys, and it may be withdrawn, so please do not subscribe for it — everything else works without it.
It runs on Microsoft Teams web only — not Google Meet, not Zoom, and not the Teams desktop app. Everywhere else your script scrolls at the speed you set.
You turn on Teams' own live captions; ScriptCue reads what Teams shows, inside your browser, and moves your script to match. Captions are never sent to us. It runs about five seconds behind the spoken word, because that is how long Teams takes to publish a caption.
We have tested it on personal Teams (teams.live.com). Work and school tenants (teams.microsoft.com) use the same captions, but we have not been able to test one, so treat it as unproven there. Teams can change its caption layout at any time, which is why this is a beta and not a promise.
Does cancelling give me a refund?
No. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the billing period you have already paid for.

Where do I download ScriptCue?
Click Download ScriptCue in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. It opens our download page, where you can download the Windows installer.
You can also return to the ScriptCue download page directly.
Where is my licence key?
Your licence key is in the Lemon Squeezy receipt sent to the email address you used at checkout. Paste that key into ScriptCue when the app asks you to activate.
If the receipt has not arrived after a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. You can also retrieve your order through the customer portal.
The browser extension does not use a licence key at all. It signs you in with your purchase email and a six-digit code — see the sign-in question above.
Can I move my licence to another computer?
Yes. Your licence can be active on one computer at a time. In ScriptCue, open the app settings and deactivate the licence on your current computer. You can then use the same key to activate ScriptCue on your new computer.

Which devices does ScriptCue support?
The ScriptCue desktop app requires Windows. The browser extension runs on desktop Chrome or Microsoft Edge and is installed from the Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Mobile browsers are not supported.
Does ScriptCue upload or read my scripts?
No. Scripts, imported documents, and meeting captions stay on your device. ScriptCue connects to the internet for desktop licence checks, extension email sign-in, updates, and service notices.
